- The seasonal stream. The Zemi stream flows in spring and early summer, then dries by late summer.
- A quiet alternative. Far fewer walkers than Rose, Red or Love.
How to get there
Begin near the Göreme Open-Air Museum and follow the valley south to Uçhisar. Return from Uçhisar by dolmuş or taxi to Göreme.
Best time to walk it
Any time of day — the extra shade makes it the most comfortable midday and summer option. Spring brings the stream and greenest growth.
What to bring
- Water (the stream is seasonal and not for drinking untreated)
- Shoes that cope with a possibly muddy or wet path in spring
- Sun protection for the open sections
